[Mini Review] Nissan Note e-POWER X

This Extended-range EV(EREV) B-Seg Minivan (5 seats) mainly targeted in developed country excepted NA which rival Yaris Verso (Ractis), C3 Picasso, B-Max, i3(in BEV with Range Extender) etc...

b>Driving Dynamics:
109hp/254Nm AC motor is more than enough for every driving condition in this country. The ECO and S drive mode is my preferred. The one pedal control as "e-Pedal" is so effective for everyday driving. You can control every single bit of energy recuperation. But, in different of accelerator pedal mapping. Almost all of the time brake pedal was never use except only on emergency situation. In contrast, if you cannot adopt to this driving style, normal mode can serve you best. Just choose what you like. Steering wheel is sharp but vague and too light. Driving on highways make too much stress.

Efficiency: Toyota's system is far more better. This trip AVG consumption is around 4.6 l/100km with Uphill/Downhill 40%, Highway 40%, and flat start-stop traffic 20%.


Practicality: Hatch could only fill 2 large size suitcase. 4 Point Front cupholder, 2 rear seat cup holder but no armrest. No sunglasses holder.


Comfort: This vehicle has nothing with automation for comrtable. Seat has a great shape and support great.
I think suspension is tuned for suitable for Europease taste. Low body roll (than Japanese competitors) and biased in the firm side. (It's sure the influence of Renault-Nissan partnership) This vehicle equipped with hybrid rear view mirror (Camera+mirror) and 360° camera. So convenience for parking, but take time to used to it. Cabin sound insulation was great except tyre noise (maybe due to Bridgestone B250) and there is some wind noise from 110kph (rarely use speed, only some Tohoku section allow to 120kph, almost 70kph and 80kph) Sound system is best for a leg to enjoy music.

Safety: Has normal suite (ABS, EBD, BA, TCS, ESP), >2airbags LDW, AHB, and FCW. (AHB is too fuzzy, but overall is acceptable.)

Driveability:
ECO mode has too much lean accelerator mapping which too stress while driving on highway, but grate for flat city. Normal and S mode has a good tuning of power delivery, this is rellay the fun car to drive. The motor control have a good amount of sensitivity and direct. No hesitation or jerking at all. Expect when stopping with ECO mode make vehicle feel wobble.

Everything about this car is thought as a low speed easy to manoeuvre car. So was it. I demand nothing more when thinking about this car price except for a greater efficiency of engine generator, I think it could be better. It's surely redeem itself as Nissan! This is surely a modern Nissan car. It make me want to drive a n EVs more and more.

The orange sun in autumn is unique itself among the bland and boring vehicle.
